This incredible cavern, aptly named for its soaring, cathedral-like ceiling, was created by the extraction of exquisite green slate. Towering pillars and stunning chambers make for an unforgettable sight. Marvel at the play of light and shadow within the cavern's depths, creating an ambience that's both mysterious and magical.

Description
On the day
8.00am - Pick-up - we will be stood waiting outside the National Express coach station on Chorlton Street, Manchester. Roughly 5 min walk from Piccadilly.

9.15am - Service stop for refreshments.
​
10.15am - We arrive at Elterwater car park to begin our walk.
​
2:30pm - Finnish the walk
​
4.00pm - Service stop for refreshments.
​
5.00pm - Drop-off - Arrive back at Chorlton Street, Manchester for departure. With some great memories!
