Blencathra once was primary known as Saddleback. It is filled with history and made the news in 2014 when its owner put the mountain up for sale?? Now all that has settled so groups like us can enjoy the stunning views, crag and tarns this area has to offer. Everyone loves this mountain for its raw natural beauty and views of the Lake District.

This event is in total 8km with life changing views! Once at the start of the hike, you will be led by trained mountain leaders to the summit of Blencathra.

On the day

8.00am - Pick-up 1 - One of our beautiful minibuses (Pictured below) will be parked waiting outside the National Express coach station on Chorlton Street, Manchester. Roughly 5 min walk from Piccadilly.

9.00am - Pick-up 2 - Lancaster Park and Ride, we will pull up at the bus stop opposite the back car park. (Free Parking all day)

​

9:45am - Service stop for refreshments for 20 minutes.

​

10:30am - We will arrive at The White Horse Inn car park, a little introduction from our mountain leaders about the day and then begin our walk. (Toilet facilities are available in the car park).

​

4pm - Arrive back down from walk latest with lots of smiles! Depart from car park.

​

4.45pm - Service stop for refreshments for 20 minutes.

​

5.30pm - Drop off 1 - Lancaster Park and Ride.

​

6:30pm - Drop off 2 - Arrive back at Chorlton Street, Manchester for departure. With some great memories!
